As I write this, there are only about 13 hours left on my 80% discount special for Snowflake Pro. The special ends at midnight tonight, California time.
This has been the biggest product launch I’ve ever had, and it’s gone the smoothest. Thanks to all those of you who’ve already been plugging it on blogs or e-mail loops or Facebook!

Lots to do today, so I need to run . . .

Loving it Randy. Wasn’t sure I needed it to be honest, but your deal convinced me and now I’m SO sure I needed it! ๐
My suggestions so far: Every time I want to open my file I have to go through the motions to get to my second hard drive where it is. (I have space issues!) Can we have recent files appear so we can click on them? I have no idea how hard this is, just know what Word does…
Also, under characters, could there be a facility for us to add our own character criteria? Yours are great, and cover many things, but we all do this a bit differently. In my case, I was thinking I want a spot for ‘crime’ as I’m dealing with convicts in my historical, and it’s handy to remember why each of them was originally transported. Thought others might also have needs that aren’t there…again, no idea if I’m asking for the Sun the stars and the moon, but thought I’d mention it. You can always say no! ๐

PS If you are hesitating about buying Snowflake Pro, I say do it!!

The Snowflake Pro is exactly what I needed to get organized enough to get through the doubts that I had of myself.
I just wish that I could get some info. on how to download it to my other personal computers as promised.
Hopefully this will ‘jingle some bells’ and I’ll get the know-how on doing this.
The program is something that is easy to work with and it really makes you think about what you are writing, the characters more believable and brings them to life.
We could all use this Snowflake Pro.

Randy sez: Hey, Adele, I’ve sent you a whole bunch of emails on the subject of how to get Snowflake Pro on your laptop. It sounds like your spam filter is intercepting them all, which is kinda frustrating for both of us. The answer is very simple: Just go to the download page again (my system sent you the link when you bought the software) and download Snowflake Pro onto your laptop. Nothing complicated. My emails don’t seem to be reaching you, but yours are getting to me, so if you have Skype, email me your Skype name and we can connect that way.

Also loving it, Randy. This is helping keep my work organized, much better than my previous methods which look a little chaotic in comparison.
I have only two gripes, and minor ones at that:
Must be careful when adding a scene to a long list of scenes. If you’ve got a scene highlighted it adds the new one before it on the list. If you’re not careful, suddenly stuff gets shifted around funny. And that might just be me working fast and not paying close enough attention.
My second item is that I would love to see one level of Undo. I can’t tell you how many times I click on something, see something change or disappear and wonder what the @#$% I just did to ruin my work. I know Undo takes a bit more RAM, but even one level of Undo would be awesome. Awesomer than SFP already is.
But other than that, I’m really happy with SFP. I’m finally organized, I can more easily keep track of story elements (instead of having twenty .doc and .xls files open at the same time and trying to make sure the info on everything is current) and once I get all of my existing info entered, I’ll have a documented record of how I built my book. And lastly, I’m looking forward to playing with the synopsis features when I get to that point.
Who said “work” can’t be fun?

Randy, Snowfalke pro will help my with books written in other language than english?
Randy sez: I haven’t tested Snowflake Pro in other languages. Java uses Unicode for all text, and all files are stored in UTF-8 format. The combination of those should allow a user to work in any language. But I don’t have the language skills to try any other language. The best I can say is that if you buy Snowflake Pro for use in a language other than English and if it doesn’t work for you, then let me know and I’ll issue a prompt refund.

Are there any plans of putting this back on sale during the holiday season? Unfortunately I didn’t find out about this sale until it was long over.

Randy: I’m excited about using this. I just finished the third in my trilogy (NaNoWriMo) and the novels are very rough. This is just what I need to get them organized and into something that I can be proud of.
Thanks so much for making it affordable.

I wish I had known about this during the special, I would have purchased SnowFlake Pro.
